Juz Amma for Kids – All 37 Surahs with Audio, Meaning & Memorization
Free Quran & Hadith garden for kids · no ads · no sign-up
Juz Amma is the 30th and last part of the Quran. It holds 37 short Makki surahs, from An-Naba (78) to An-Nas (114), and it is where most children begin memorizing. Kids usually start with the shortest surahs at the end and work backwards.
Most Muslim children start their Quran journey with Juz Amma, the thirtieth part of the Quran. Its surahs are short, rhythmic and full of vivid pictures: the elephant army, the night sky, the dawn, the camel, the fig and the olive. That makes them easy for young hearts to love and easy for young memories to hold.
Noor Garden lays out all 37 surahs in the order children usually memorize them, starting with An-Nas and Al-Falaq and finishing with An-Naba. Each surah page has the full Uthmani Arabic text, the Sahih International translation, a word-by-word table, a short lesson written for kids, and a Start learning button that opens the surah in the app. In the app your child can listen to Mishary Rashid Alafasy word by word, repeat each ayah, hide the words step by step, and solve small puzzles to check what they remember.
Everything is free. There are no ads, no accounts and no sign-up. Progress is saved only on your own device, so you can open it on a tablet at home and pick up where you left off.

Best order to memorize Juz Amma
- Begin with Al-Fatihah, the surah we recite in every prayer.
- Learn the three protecting surahs: An-Nas, Al-Falaq and Al-Ikhlas.
- Continue backwards through the short surahs (Al-Masad to Al-Asr), one at a time.
- Move on to the medium surahs (At-Takathur to Ad-Duha), splitting longer ones into two or three sittings.
- Finish with the longer surahs (Ash-Sharh back to An-Naba) and review earlier ones every week.
Tips for parents
- Keep sessions short: ten minutes a day beats one hour on the weekend.
- Listen three times before your child tries to recite. Let them hear the rhythm first.
- Use the surah in salah the same day. Using it is the best way to keep it.
- Review two old surahs for every new one, so nothing slips away.
- Talk about the meaning. A child who knows the story of the elephant remembers Al-Fil much better.
