What is Surah Al-Qari'ah about?
On the Great Day, everyone's deeds will be weighed. Whoever's scale of good deeds is heavy will live a happy, pleasing life. Surah Al-Qari'ah (The Calamity) is surah number 101 of the Quran, a Makki surah of 11 ayat in Juz 30. It is number 15 in the Noor Garden memorization path for kids.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
- 1
ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
The Striking Calamity -
- 2
مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
What is the Striking Calamity?
- 3
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?
- 4
يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ
It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,
- 5
وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ
And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.
- 6
فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],
- 7
فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ
He will be in a pleasant life.
- 8
وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
But as for one whose scales are light,
- 9
فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌۭ
His refuge will be an abyss.
- 10
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ
And what can make you know what that is?
- 11
نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ
It is a Fire, intensely hot.

How to memorize Surah Al-Qari'ah
- Listen: press “Start learning” and listen to Mishary Alafasy recite Surah Al-Qari'ah three times while following the Arabic text.
- Practice each ayah: in Practice mode every ayah repeats ×3, ×5 or ×7 with an echo pause, so your child says it back out loud.
- Learn it in parts: with 11 ayat, split it into 3 parts of 5 ayat and only move on when the current part is solid.
- Memorize levels: each level hides more words until your child can recite the whole surah from memory.
- Puzzles: put the words of each ayah back in order to check the memorization, then review it tomorrow before starting the next surah.
