Short Hadith for Kids – 15 Sayings of the Prophet ﷺ
Simple meanings, real sources, and a small challenge for every hadith.
These 15 short hadith were chosen because children can understand them and live them today: smiling, kind words, controlling anger, cleanliness, sharing and good manners. Every hadith is authentic, and each page shows its exact source and grade.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught big lessons in very few words. That makes his short sayings perfect for children: they are easy to remember, and each one gives a child something real to do today, like smiling at someone, saying salam, staying calm when angry, or giving water to a thirsty animal.
We chose these 15 hadith carefully. Every one is from a well-known collection such as Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Jami' at-Tirmidhi or Sunan Abi Dawud, and every page shows the collection, the hadith number, the narrator and the grade. When the words shown are only part of a longer hadith, we say so clearly. The Arabic text has full vowel marks (tashkeel) so children and parents can read it correctly.
How to use this page: learn one hadith a week. Read the Arabic together, then the simple meaning. Read the short example story, try the "Try it today" challenge every day that week, and finish with the mini quiz. Children can also learn and review the hadith inside the free Noor Garden app, which has audio, games and stars.
A simple weekly plan
- Day 1: read the hadith in Arabic and its meaning together.
- Days 2–6: say it every morning and do the "Try it today" challenge.
- Day 7: take the mini quiz and tell someone what you learned.
