What is Surah Al-Masad about?
Abu Lahab hurt the Prophet ﷺ, and his money did not help him. Good deeds matter more than money. Surah Al-Masad (The Palm Fiber) is surah number 111 of the Quran, a Makki surah of 5 ayat in Juz 30. It is number 5 in the Noor Garden memorization path for kids.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
- 1
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍۢ وَتَبَّ
May the hands of Abū Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.
- 2
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.
- 3
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًۭا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍۢ
He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame
- 4
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ
And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.
- 5
فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌۭ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ
Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.

How to memorize Surah Al-Masad
- Listen: press “Start learning” and listen to Mishary Alafasy recite Surah Al-Masad three times while following the Arabic text.
