What is Surah Al-Fil about?

An army with elephants came to destroy the Kaaba. Allah sent flocks of birds to stop them. Allah protects His House! Surah Al-Fil (The Elephant) is surah number 105 of the Quran, a Makki surah of 5 ayat in Juz 30. It is number 11 in the Noor Garden memorization path for kids.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. 1

    أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ

    Have you not considered, [O Muḥammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?

  2. 2

    أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍۢ

    Did He not make their plan into misguidance?

  3. 3

    وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ

    And He sent against them birds in flocks,

  4. 4

    تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍۢ مِّن سِجِّيلٍۢ

    Striking them with stones of hard clay,

  5. 5

    فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍۢ مَّأْكُولٍۭ

    And He made them like eaten straw.

How to memorize Surah Al-Fil

  1. Listen: press “Start learning” and listen to Mishary Alafasy recite Surah Al-Fil three times while following the Arabic text.
